Notes
Your shielded balance is a set of encrypted notes. Each note holds an amount and an owner that only you can read.
Commitments
Every new note adds a commitment to a Merkle tree kept by the Mertcash program. The commitment reveals nothing about the note.
Nullifiers
Spending a note publishes its nullifier. The program rejects a nullifier it has seen before, which stops double spends without saying which note was spent.
